For the past few decades, he has helped launch key products, worked in ERP product management, led M&A programs, post-merger integrations, and driven cloud strategy through various roles across functional areas. As the leader of SAP Industries, he was responsible for strengthening the go-to-market approach, driving product marketing, and solution management for SAP's industry solutions. 

As Senior Vice President SAP Industries, which is the core business of SAP's customers, he highlights SAP's collaboration with customers and partners to build business solutions that address industry-specific processes. Sven is excited to continue working with teams at SAP to build on this foundation and elevate SAP's deep industry expertise as a sustained differentiator in the marketplace. Additionally, he is known for successfully strengthening the go-to-market approach and driving innovation across the portfolio and ecosystem, particularly through co-innovation with customers and partners. 

In 2007, Sven joined SAP as VP Solution Management for ERP, focusing on strategy and co-innovation for the cloud portfolio. He identified key trends and best practices in new technologies, assessed customer and market requirements, and influenced SAP's business suite strategy. Later, as COO, he focused on evaluating customer and market requirements and supporting SAP's S/4HANA strategy. 

Previously, Sven was managing partner of a company for environmental protection and software services. He focused on strategic alignment and providing solutions for environmental compliance, sustainability, and ESG / Sustainability. 

In 1999, his startup merged with TechniData AG, where Sven took on roles in sales and marketing, focusing on SAP EH&S, emissions management, and environmental analytical solutions. He was appointed Vice President in 2001 and Senior Vice President in 2003, leading global sales, marketing, and ecosystem activities. 

Sven studied business informatics at the University of Stuttgart and industrial engineering at the Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität Kaiserslautern-Landau.
