OMMAX accelerates international growth with appointment of former BCG Healthcare Partner Sandra Welchering as Partner

Munich, 09.09.2026 –  OMMAX, the leading AI-first consultancy and AI-engineering platform, today announces the appointment of Sandra Welchering as Partner.

In her new role, Sandra Welchering will join OMMAX Founding Partner Dr. Anja Konhäuser in leading the Life Sciences & Healthcare practice, with particular responsibility for accelerating its international expansion.

Sandra brings more than 20 years of strategy consulting and industry experience. Before joining OMMAX, she spent three years as a Partner in BCG's Healthcare practice and, prior to that, 7 years at McKinsey & Company. Earlier in her career, Sandra Welchering spent 13 years at Bayer, holding strategic, financial, and commercial roles in Germany and the United States, including senior responsibilities within Bayer Consumer Care.

Founded by Dr. Anja Konhäuser and Lisa Marsfeld, the practice has since grown into one of OMMAX’s largest, supported by a broader senior leadership team including Founding Partner Dr. Stefan Sambol and Partners Isabella Calderon Hoyos, Max Kneissl, Sinan Erhan and Jan Knaisch. Welchering’s appointment adds further sector depth to this established platform and strengthens its international growth ambitions.

Silicon Valley expertise meets healthcare transformation 

Chief AI Officer Lutz Finger joined OMMAX following leadership roles at Google, LinkedIn and Snap. At Google, he contributed to the development of Google Health, including AI-driven population-health products and healthcare data platforms. Today, he leads OMMAX’s AI capabilities across strategy, engineering and deployment.
